The Name “Prem Mahotsav” is suggested by one of my friend, when I was going to write this post. Valentines day have a special importance in the calender, we met someone we love, shower him/her with flowers, bouquet and gifts, do shopping and enjoy a lot. do you know? when you make or express love, People are making money from it. Love has become a million dollar industry today. This year 2008, Indian people spent more than Rs 3000 crore on greeting cards and other gift articles like flowers, diamond jewellery, chocolates, toys, readymade garments, mobile phones, electronic gadgets, wrist watches etc. Telecom companies expected to fetch Rs 100-150 crore from love buddies, by using their SMS services and gifting tunes. Archies, Hallmark and many online e-greeting portals and floweriest were among the top money reapers. They have made a complete superficial love week; rose day, kiss day, jewellery day, teddy day etc. etc. to pull money out of your pocket. And this is also showing giving them results as everybody is expressing his love in form of money. hey cupid cum Stupids, “Money can never buy Love”, when you will understand this fact??
Valentines day is considered more important than other national and Indian festivals among love birds, Watching republic day pared or presidents speech to nation can be missed but when valentines day comes, plans starts from a week ago. Public display of affection has also become quite common in Delhi, actually in all metros. You can see many couples in questionable poses, is that right?? I think holding hands in hand, hugging each other and even formal kissing to your spouse/ boyriend/ girlfriend is purely fine. but If you are touching your partner at objectionable places and needing even more, then what the hell you are doing or roads?? go off before public start pelting stones over you, for god sake!! go to you room buddy. These kind of people who make such cheap and vulgar things on the roadsides and in parks, only defaming and tarnishing the image of other genuine lovers. Youths (including girls) are completely messed up between love, romance, infatuation, affair, crush and many more relationships. they are just biased towards lust and pleasure. anyways its their matter, I should not interfere. who am I, to teach you a lesson on the ethics?? huh You should be knowing what is good or what is not as all are matured more than enough to make a self judgement.
According to some unconfirmed reports, valentines day is the second most popular day in the world. More and more people are celebrating this day every year. This count is expected to go even higher, in future. but one thing bugs my mind.. do people really loving each other more then ever??
